Remember why you became a teacher? It was a passion for the kids and the knowledge that you could positively impact lives by creating life-long learners? Sometimes “school” can get in the way of what inspired you to teach. Join us for a summer and regain that passion for teaching once again. 

Summer 2023 Ed Inquiry Instructors will work with 3 groups of 15 students that enjoy math for six weeks in a virtual classroom. Your classes will use a blended learning curriculum and engaging, culturally affirming content created by a multicultural collective of leading educators. Instructors will also have the opportunity to mentor a trained high school intern assigned to them, who will assist in their virtual classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Proven success as an educator who can inspire children
  • Aptitude and desire to make math fun for students
  • Demonstrable experience teaching elementary, middle, and/or high school math
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and on-screen persona
  • A minimum of one year of experience working in a classroom setting preferred
  • Familiarity with math competitions is a plus
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with students, staff, and colleagues about the program’s objectives, goals, and expectations

Education

Bachelor’s degree in education, mathematics, analysis, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
