FAQ

What is The Biggest Winner Math Challenge?

This is NOT summer school. The Biggest Winner Math Challenge is an educational research pilot exploring how to engage students in a state-wide community of students that REALLY enjoy math and want to be challenged! The program’s goal is to teach advanced math skills and real-world math concepts to students with advanced math abilities while creating a safe and motivated math community.

What do students learn in The Biggest Winner Math Challenge?

During the summer, students will work online with other peers across the state, learning and applying their math skills to a real-world project. The content is designed to expose students to financial literacy concepts in an engaging and relatable way while also implementing social-emotional learning.  Students will learn the importance of making educated financial decisions and the impact those decisions would have on their lives. The program’s teaching style is designed to be driven by conversations rather than lectures. This engages students in the lesson and creates a sense of community.

How can my student apply to participate in The Biggest Winner Math Challenge?

Currently, the program is a pilot, so there are limited seats. Therefore only invited students may apply. If students are eligible to apply, they will receive an invitation with a code and link to the application form from your child’s school.
